 The New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) is currently seeking applicants for two newly created positions in the NZRU Commercial Team. The NZRU is a dynamic and results-orientated organisation both on and off the field, and is seeking candidates who want to work with world renowned sporting brands.

Reporting to the General Manager – Commercial both positions will assist in driving new and existing commercial relationships, business development and revenue opportunities for the NZRU.

The two new roles are:

Business Planning Analyst

  • Provide financial support to all NZRU-wide new sponsor acquisition, licensing, joint ventures, start-ups and other business development, including strategic planning and overseeing assigned projects.
  • Provide financial modelling, analysis, and reporting of potential business development opportunities with commercial partners for the NZRU, All Blacks, other National Teams and competitions.
  • Develop business plans as part of the business development function for commercial opportunities in New Zealand and overseas.
  • University degree in accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or related discipline is required. Honours level degree or MBA may be advantageous.
  • At least three years post qualification experience in Financial and Business planning and analysis.

Executive Assistant/Researcher

  • Provides administrative and business relations research support to the General Manager – Commercial.
  • Coordinating special projects and serving as a company resource and liaison.
  • Professional, mature, sound business judgement and good decision making are all qualities required of the successful applicant.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in an administrative role supporting an executive or senior manager is required.
