The Blues Franchise, in conjunction with the New Zealand Rugby Union, invites applications for the 2013 Blues Head Coach position.

The successful candidate will have proven first-class rugby coaching experience.

On and off-field skills required at the highest level include:

  • Leadership;

  • Tactical and technical coaching (for team and individual);

  • People management;

  • Fulfilling stakeholder obligations in the professional rugby environment; and

  • High performance player and coach development.

This is a rare opportunity to enhance the development and success of the Blues Franchise, as well as New Zealand rugby.

The role will commence at the conclusion of the 2012 Investec Super Rugby season.

The New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) is a dynamic and results-oriented organisation both on and off the field and we are currently seeking candidates for the role of Broadcast Media Manager, based in the NZRU Auckland Office. 

Reporting to the General Manager – Commercial, the successful candidate will develop, co-ordinate and drive the NZRU’s broadcast strategy to maximise business performance, facilitate positive stakeholder relations, and achieve revenue targets and strategic aims.
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven commercial experience and success at a senior management level;

  • Sound knowledge and experience in the traditional broadcast and digital content distribution sectors, managing key relationships across a broad range of broadcasting continuum;

  • Experience in negotiation and interpretation of legal and contractual arrangements;

  • Experience with online / new media / multi-platform initiatives; and

  • Excellent strategic thinking skills.

The ability to work successfully with a variety of stakeholders and previous proven business success is critical to this role.

The New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) is a performance oriented organisation in a dynamic industry.  We are currently seeking experienced candidates for a newly created role of Legal Secretary and PA General Manager - Professional Rugby, based in Wellington.

Reporting to two managers the successful candidate will need to:

  • Proactively work as part of a team, providing timely, accurate professional assistance to both the Legal team and General Manager Professional Rugby in order for them to operate effectively and efficiently.  Estimate work flow guidelines are 75% Legal and 25% General Manager Professional Rugby (may vary).

  • Provide organisational and secretarial assistance to the General Counsel and General Manager Professional Rugby and wider teams as required.

  • Provide excellence in customer service to all internal and external parties.

  • Preferably have 5 years office experience in secretarial/administration role, but Legal secretary experience would be advantageous.

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft package and be confident on E-mail systems with a good working knowledge of internet and other forms of new technology.

  • Fast and accurate word-processing (50wpm +) including experience in the preparation of legal documentation.

We are looking for someone who has  a high degree of emotional maturity, able to work unsupervised, and have a sense of humour.
